Switching on to cloud to store your data, is indeed an intelligent step to be taken as more and more data is being generated every couple of hours and systems are finding it hard to store the same securely.  Cloud computing besides being lucrative also manages the security, support, maintenance and back-up, helping businesses to focus directly on the day-to-day functionalities and workings only. Understanding the scenario and the demand, many companies have come up with the solution, making it difficult for the consumer to make the right choice.

Choosing the right cloud depends on the data one deals with. A person who deals with videos, photos and online documents may require software based cloud service whereas if the need is a virtual transfer of data without any alterations, then cloud service like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is required. The customer is just required to supervise the overall operations, systems and its related applications. Also if he wants to offer it as a service to others, he can easily make use of the Platform as a Service (PaaS).

One of the crucial parts is the adaptability of the technical interface with the organization’s followed architecture. The cloud structure thus chosen should be compatible enough, to allow the data flow between two different platforms on a seamless basis, at the same time it should also be capable of administering and wrapping the data of the data environment, autonomously.

Before choosing a cloud provider, besides relying on the competitor research analysis, one should look out for the reputed service suppliers. Obviously all of them will have the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) following certain service standards, which as per the demands of the customer can be further negotiated. Cloud service is best known for the security it promises, so it is on the part of the service providers to assure and clarify the different level of security it offers, especially the verification, authorization, access control and management.

The monetary factor perhaps being the last is the most important factor to be taken into account. Besides being economic, a cloud should help the buyer to earn more profit and save the capital been spent on storage and security.
